AGAR, Second Stage presents Isaac Williams, Senobia Smith at Amherst Java and Jazz | Lifestyles
Amherst Glebe Arts Response, Inc. and Second Stage | Amherst presents Isaac Williams and Senobia Smith at Amherst Java and Jazz on October 30.
The performance is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Second Stage, 194 Second St., Amherst.
Williams, from Lynchburg, made his debut in music at the age of 8 when his parents bought him a toy keyboard. At 11, he was playing for his church and for private and local venues in the area. In 2019, Williams debuted with his Trinity Jazz Trio to a full house at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynchburg. The trio has since performed at venues such as The Flat 9 Club, Stonebridge Fall Festival, and District Winery in Washington, DC.
Over the past year, he has cultivated the Isaac Williams Quartet alongside the highly talented former US Army singer Smith. Their quartet embraces sounds from Ella Fitzgerald to Etta James, and even current artists such as Daniel Caesar. Williams is delighted to debut the rich sounds of the Isaac Williams Quartet at the Second Stage on October 30th. The game selections are from Nina Simone, Chick Corea and Mongo Santamaria.
Tickets cost $ 10 for adults and $ 5 for students and can be purchased at the door or on Eventbrite.com under Amherst Glebe Arts Response, Inc. Presents Isaac Williams Quartet with Senobia Smith.
