Channel Road house with tropical gardens and spa

A unique Bali-influenced mansion has gone up for sale in the Santa Monica Canyon, as reported by Realtor.com for $9.5 million.
Living in this luxurious South Pacific-influenced home might make you feel like you’re on a permanent vacation. The house is located just a few blocks from the beach, located at 341 West Channel Road in Santa Monica Canyon. A buyer has already made an offer for this one-of-a-kind property.
The house was originally a small house built in 1926. It was put on the market in 2015 and has been completely renovated. In 2015 it sold for $4,050,000 and clearly the previous owner wanted very specific decor for his home.
Stepping into the house is like stepping into an ancient monastery in Bali without having to fly for 21 hours. The landscaping is suitably luxurious for the concept of the home and it spans the 6,499 square feet of the entire space. There are tropical gardens, Balinese wood carving, and an elevated cascading spa. This all comes before you get to a glass door that leads you inside.
The interior walls of the house are made of a mixture of teak wood and split limestone. Screens are there to separate the space in the inner sanctum and they have been elaborately laser cut. The screens cut a path through the house to the outdoor space at the back.
There are three master suites in the house and each has its own private terrace and fireplace. All three are equipped with a luxury private bathroom with bathtubs and stone sinks.
The house has two kitchens. While one is in the normal area you would expect, the second is on the roof terrace. You can take an Italian glass elevator to reach the rooftop terrace.
