JAMMU, December 30: Continuing his sublime form with the bat Sunil Bali marked his third half-century in a row (91 unbeaten on 68 balls) and propelled Jammu Sports Cricket Club to a six-wicket victory over Sidhra Sports in the final match of Eid Diwali Cup Milan, played at Sattowali Cricket Ground RS Pura here today.
Earlier, Sidhra Sports led by skipper Imtiaz Malik won the draw and decided to strike first. Forerunners Tayyab Farooq (55 runs of 42 balls) and Waseem Mir (9 runs of 23 balls) took advantage of the power play as the duo forged a quick partnership of 53 runs. Sidhra Sports was on course for a big score before an inspiring delivery from Yash Khajuria threw opener Waseem Mir’s wickets down as the first breakthrough came in the 7th of the game.
