Departure from Jokowi towards North Sumatra, inauguration of the Balige bypass and ports
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) left for North Sumatra earlier today, Wednesday February 2, to inaugurate several facilities.
As quoted on the Presidential Secretariat’s webpage, Jokowi took off from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport using the presidential plane at 07:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
Upon arrival at Silangit Airport, North Tapanuli Regency, the President resumed his journey to inaugurate Balige Bypass. In line with the previous schedule, Jokowi is then set to hand out cash assistance (BLT) to the merchants at Porsea Market and inaugurate the free beach area and sewage treatment plant at Parapat Free Beach.
After that, the president will visit and inaugurate the port of Ajibata and 6 other ports as well as 4 motor boats. Later, he will take a ferry to the regency of Samosir.
For his schedule in Samosir, the president Jokowi will head to the village of Siallagan to deliver the BLT to the merchants. He will also visit Raja village in Pangururan district. During his trip, the Head of State was accompanied by several ministries and civil servants.
