Leaving Java Jam – Stittsville Central

Perpetua Quigley shares his watercolors and haiku with our community. She has created works of art in which she captures the essence of Stittsville and the immediate area. After painting other monuments in Stittsville, she again created another that interprets the balance, through her haiku, that these two buildings share with each other.
In keeping with this balancing act is my latest sketch of The Temperance Hotel and Quitter’s with its haiku.

psychic temperance
The red brick building on Main Street, Stittsville, formerly known as The Temperance Hotel is now occupied by a psychic reader. It’s next door to Quitter’s, a cafe owned by Kathleen Edwards that offers food and drink and hosts live music jam sessions. Both companies promote psychic temperance of balance.
The next time you visit To leave, take a look at the brick building on the corner of Orville and Main. It was once the Temperance Hotel, now said to be haunted, and it is the home of a Psychic reader and other apartment dwellers. The Quitters building has held over the years a gift shop, an insurance company, an antique dealer to name a few.
