McDonald’s customers lose it over video from the channel’s “much better” Indonesian version: “Sounds much healthier”
How is McDonald’s in Bali? That’s a question countless TikTokers are asking themselves now, thanks to a woman’s viral video.
The clip, posted by user Diana Trofim (@dagtw), gives a first-hand visit inside a McDonald’s on the Indonesian island. Her video quickly garnered millions of views and thousands of comments from jealous fast food fans.

Trofim’s TikTok is part of a much larger trend on the app, in which users have shown how different fast food restaurants are abroad. In the past, viewers have panicked over the selection of pastries from McDonald’s in France, the extremely diverse menu at Wendy’s in Japan, and the “high end” dining experience of Taco Bell in China.
Often times, these clips lead users to conclude that fast food is “much better” abroad. It was also the case with the clip of Trofim.
“Let’s try McDonald’s in Bali,” TikToker captioned their video.
The Trofim video shows several menu items that bear no resemblance to an American McDonald’s meal. For one thing, McDonald’s in Bali has a “Taste of Japan” menu, which features McFlurry-type drinks filled with matcha and other toppings.
She also tries the Beef Yakiniku Tamago Burger, which is served on a white bun and topped with seaweed, eggs and sliced cabbage. Trofim also orders ice cream, matcha latte, and a meal of white rice and spicy fried chicken.
TikTok users have a lot to say about the Trofim experience.

That said, McDonald’s establishments in the United States have also gained great viral fame. A McDonald’s in Sedona, Arizona has its own tourists – thanks to its “one of a kind” color scheme.
