Pandemic travel news: Europe is preparing and the United States is preparing

(CNN) – Omicron sweeps across Europe. The United States is gearing up for the winter vacation at full speed. And Australia and the Caribbean island nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis are easing restrictions on visitors.
Here are the latest travel developments this week.
Omicron expands as the holidays approach
This is certainly NOT what we asked Santa Claus.
In the United States, vacationers are heading to New York and destinations across the country.

Countries with increasing risk levels
All have moved to ‘Level 4: Very high Covid-19’, which applies to destinations where more than 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants have been recorded in the last 28 days. More than 80 destinations are now at level 4.
In Southeast Asia, Malaysia has moved from Level 4 to Level 3, while Jamaica, the Philippines and the Republic of Congo have moved from Level 3 to Level 2.

Almost all of this small handful of tourists reached the island by private yacht, as the island’s Ngurah Rai International Airport has been closed to international flights most of the year. While the airport officially reopened to international flights in October, so far it has only handled domestic flights, mostly from Jakarta.
To come to Bali, foreign visitors must obtain a $ 300 business visa, pass several PCR tests, and purchase special health insurance.
