Tourists invade Lombok ahead of World Superbike Mandalika
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Foreign and domestic tourists start to invade the Senggigi region in western Lombok aat the head of the World Superbike (WSBK) racing event, which will be held from November 19 to 21, 2021.
“Senggigi tourist areas are ready and started to be occupied before the WSBK,” West Lombok communications and information technology agency chief Ahad Legiarto said on Thursday (November 18th).
According to Ahad, hotels have implemented standard sanitary protocols and have already obtained Clean, Hygiene, Safety and Environment (CHSE) certificates.
In addition, the West Lombok tourism agency has also prepared various events. The event dubbed “Welcome Senggigi” features various artistic and cultural performances ahead of the international event.
“From wayang (traditional puppet) performances, creative and photographic displays to live acoustic music,” Ahad said.
Welcoming the international event, Ahad also said that the access roads to the tourist areas of Senggigi can be crossed safely. There are no landslide roads as was reported some time ago.
